About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to join a professional care team supporting children and young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges. This full-time role involves providing consistent, nurturing, and structured care within a supportive residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young peopleBuild positive, trusting relationships that promote emotional well-being and developmentSupport children in achieving their personal, social, and educational goalsMaintain a safe, clean, and engaging home environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety policiesAssist with care planning, daily routines, and behaviour management strategiesMaintain accurate records and contribute to reports for internal and external professionalsPromote independence, confidence, and self-esteem through tailored support and encouragement

What We're Looking For

Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly in a residential or supported care settingUnderstanding of trauma-informed care and behavioural support strategiesStrong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsAbility to stay calm under pressure and handle challenging behaviours constructivelyLevel 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
