Job Title: Children’s Intake Clinician
Division: Children, Youth and Family Services
WCMHS is seeking a dynamic team player with excellent communication and client centered skills. Clinician will perform intake screenings and assessments, and provide brief therapeutic treatment (group counseling, individual therapy, caregiver psychoeducation, community supports) and stabilization, as well as brief targeted case management, to presenting families across a variety of settings. Work is highly coordinated with the Children’s Consultation and Referral Committee and with other youth supporting programs within and outside of WCMHS. Work is based in Berlin-Barre area with the potential for travel throughout the Washington County area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Perform intake agency paperwork, screenings and assessments
+ Provide brief clinical treatment, including individual and group therapy, targeted case management, and stabilization supports to identified families
+ Maintain ongoing caseload of 30+ clients
+ Present cases to the CCRC committee to review initial and ongoing eligibility for more intensive and/or long term services
+ Develop and maintain knowledge of all WCMHS services, with particular focus upon those provided to children and families
+ Consult and coordinate care with WCMHS programs, other Designated Agencies, hospitals and various other systems serving children and families in order to have consumer’s needs addressed
+ Coordinate referrals for appropriate clients to longer term service providers outside of the CCRC purview
+ Contribute to the database for inquiries and maintain documentation of referrals
+ Complete all agency required paperwork
+ Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
+ Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling,
+ Licensure or license eligible as a psychologist, social worker or Mental Health counselor preferred.
+ Must have 1 - 3 years working within mental health with experience with children, youth and families.
+ Training in trauma and co-occurring disorders also required.
+ Must have safe, reliable and insured vehicle with a clean driving record.
+ Ability to complete all physical requires of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
+ Remain in a seated position for up to 50% of scheduled hours.
+ Ability to alternate between sitting and standing as needed.
+ Ability to lift and maintain up to 50 pounds to assist clients where needed.
+ Enter text or data in a computer by means of a traditional keyboard.
+ Drive own personal vehicle to and from a variety of agency locations and client homes.
