Children Behavioral Health Technician (PT)

Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Part-Time - Behavioral Health Technician - working with children, based out of two locations in Phoenix, AZ. This is a direct service position working in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Arizona at assigned sites.  This position will interact directly with the Children and Staff and Families at the Clubs and use the designated prevention model Positive Action while also implementing other clinical approaches based on Club needs.  This team member needs to have a passion for working with Children in an afterschool setting, be willing to be an active participant/lead in therapeutic activities, and act as a liaison for Terros Health and these co-locations.

Location: co-located within one or more Boys and Girls Club of the Valley locations

Monday-Friday

3pm - 7pm

 

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (Additional Language Differential Pay Available)

Duties include:

Conducts the engagement process with families to identify natural/formal supports as outlined in the Arizona Model, Child and Family Team (CFT) process, and Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) for enrolled families. Facilitates CFT/Service Plan meetings according to the Arizona Model and RBHA guidelines in order to create individualized service plans as identified by the CFT members. Ensures families understand the behavioral health process, the role of CFT Facilitator, and ensure family participation that links them to natural or community-based supports. Coordinates and schedules CFT/Service Plan meetings with natural, formal supports, and system stakeholders Submits appropriate referrals to clinical outpatient services within agency and other behavioral health providers identified by the CFT. Updates and maintains electronic medical records on each case which include but not limited to; Annual Assessment Update, RBHA demographics, Child and adolescent service intensity instrument (CALOCUS), and CFT/Service Plan Completes strength assessments and crisis/safety plans with families according to RBHA and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) guidelines. Develops positive supportive relationships with consumers, family, stakeholders, and other Terros employees and Boys and Girls Club employees.  Actively leads group prevention or therapeutic group activities at assigned Boys and Girls Clubs of Arizona.
