Job Responsibilities:Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.Support children in their educational and social development.Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring the well-being of all residents.Build positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and social development.Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.Document and report on the progress and behaviour of children in care.Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications:Experience working with children or young people, in a residential setting.Relevant qualifications in childcare, social care, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare ).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by children in care.Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Full UK driving licence is essential.
