China Country Manager Job Description **_Position Summary_** The China Country Manager spearheads initiatives to develop a comprehensive, end-to-end business presence within China, utilizing the global resources of Renesas. Additionally, the China Country Manager is responsible for delivering cost-effective and advanced solutions globally, particularly in areas where China excels, such as electric vehicles. This role requires a collaborative leader who can drive business growth, optimize operational performance, and build influential relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess deep market expertise ensuring sustainable success and long-term competitive positioning for Renesas. **_Key responsibilities:_** **_Strategic Leadership (directly reporting to CEO):_** + Develop and execute the overall business strategy for China in alignment with the company's global objectives. + Identify market opportunities, trends, and potential risks, and devise strategies to capitalize on them. + Drive initiatives to strengthen the company's market position and competitive advantage within China's semiconductor industry. + Matrixed Organization: Effectively collaborate and communicate with global business units, leveraging resources and expertise across the organization to drive success in China. **_Business Development and Growth:_** · Lead business development efforts to expand the company's footprint in China, including establishing partnerships, alliances, and strategic collaborations. · Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies, customer acquisition, and relationship management. · Explore new market segments and applications to diversify the company's portfolio and revenue streams. **_Operational Excellence:_** · In conjunction with the Global Operations team, oversee manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, and quality assurance. · Implement best practices to optimize operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and productivity. · Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. **_Talent Management and Organizational Development:_** · Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. · Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional growth opportunities. · Develop the optimum organization structure to meet the needs of an expanding and highly matrixed organization to ensure agility to respond to market dynamics. **_Stakeholder Engagement:_** · Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, government agencies, industry associations, and the media. · Represent the company in external forums, conferences, and industry events to enhance visibility and thought leadership. · Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the growth and competitiveness of the semiconductor industry in China.
