Maintain our Chinese social media presence, including translating and localizing English-language content to Chinese, as well as creating original Chinese language content that highlights our academic programs and the student experience
Core Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of MIIS's official WeChat, Weibo, Bilibili and RedNote accounts, including monitoring and recording daily account data. Write one to two social media posts per week (e.g., upcoming social/academic events, school news, and faculty, student, and alumni interviews). Translate announcements, news articles, and interview transcripts from English to Chinese. Coordinate with the supervising faculty member to ensure posts are accurately translated and aligned with the school's mission and mandate. Interact with followers and prospective students by communicating and answering questions through the chat page. Work with the MIIS Communications, Marketing, and Enrollment teams to develop a strong social media strategy for engaging Chinese audiences, especially prospective students. Collaborate on a master monthly social media content calendar. Create an engaging platform for followers, including interactions and timely responses to direct messages. Monitor issues of interest to our social media followers in the MIIS Chinese student and alumni community. Monitor and report on trends in social media culture and leading digital platforms.
