SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Christmas Kettle Program Assistant will provide support for the Christmas Kettle Program. Duties will include scheduling and monitoring Kettle Operations, Kettle data entry, required record keeping, and other duties to augment the Kettle Program Coordinator as needed. This position will require the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or equivalent and relevant work experience is requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Proficient in oral and written communication Proficient in customer and community relation skills Must possess valid Washington State driver’s license and pass TSA background check Must possess the ability to work well with all types of people Must demonstrate both organizational skills, creativity, self-motivation, and flexibility Microsoft Word, Excel, Kettles program / database, multi-line phoneESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for the preparation of kettle worker hiring paperwork to be passed out to prospective kettle workers Responsible for setting up kettle worker profiles and entering daily time card data into the Kettle Program database in a timely manner to meet deadlines Responsible for the daily deposit slip data entry and filing of those forms Must have a pleasant speaking voice, be able to answer phones, and work the Kettle Operations Office as needed Assist with written and oral communication with clients, the public, and donors as needed Assist in contacting individuals and/or companies to assist with our kettle campaign Assist the Kettle Coordinator and other staff with other duties as assigned, including filing, copying, scanning, etc. Must be proficient in typing, data entry, organizing, and filing Must exhibit a working knowledge or ability to learn Excel, Lotus Notes, and related technical skills Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision Must be able to work with diverse populations and to maintain confidentiality with personal information Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with emphasis on effectively working in a team environment Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and under the pressure of deadlines as required for payroll and hiring See that all paperwork is completed and correct before entering it or submitting it for entry in the kettle system. File all Kettle Worker paperwork daily. Maintain all Kettle Worker paperwork in confidential files either in a locked filing cabinet or a locked office.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead Ability to operate a telephone Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. (usually file boxes, office supplies) Ability to access and produce information from a computer Ability to understand written information Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basisQualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
