The System Analyst will act as the subject matter expert for insurance systems and responsible for system design on various systems and applications. Also, the incumbent participate in system development projects and maintenance tasks, ensuring that development coding conforms to company standards and application architecture adheres to design patterns.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible to system analysis and design on various systems and applications. Participate in system development projects and maintenance tasks. Ensure development coding conforming to standards and application architecture adhering to design patterns. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on responsible systems and related insurance functions. Prepare coding specifications, perform system coding and unit testing.  Support system production, operations, and ad hoc queries. Monitor, analyse and report system performance and capability. Response to system incidents and follow through resolutions. Follow up system problems and issues, trouble shoot system problems. Prepare various system specifications and relevant system documentations as required. Execute risk mitigation activities, address, and follow up audit issues. Support system compliance with local and global security requirements, company policies, standards, and guidelines. University graduate or above in relevant degrees. More than 5 years of working experience in IT industry, in which 2 years on system development or maintenance roles. Fast learner, proactive and self-motivated. Good analysis, problem solving and communication skills. Experience on life insurance systems is a must. Knowledge and experience in most of these technologies – Java, CSS, JavaScript, C#, VB.Net, and relevant web-based technology stacks. Familiar with Oracle and MSSQL database, SSIS. Experience on development tools such as Git. Good command of English and Chinese.
