As the **Continuous Improvement (CI) Director - Europe** , you will play a strategic leadership role in driving the development and execution of the Continuous Improvement program across multiple plants and locations within the European region. You will lead a team of CI professionals, partnering with business leaders and key stakeholders to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and embed a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Strategic Leadership:** Develop and implement CI strategies aligned with Xylem’s business objectives, ensuring long-term operational excellence. + **Team Leadership:** Manage a team of CI professionals, providing coaching, development, and mentorship to drive operational improvements. + **Process Optimization:** Identify cost reduction opportunities and process enhancements using Lean, Six Sigma, and Toyota Production System principles. + **Stakeholder Engagement:** Collaborate with senior leadership, site managers, and cross-functional teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement. + **CI Program Execution:** Lead Lean transformations, drive efficiency initiatives, and ensure measurable financial benefits. + **Training & Development:** Facilitate CI training, coaching, and Kaizen rapid improvement events to enhance team capabilities. + **Performance Monitoring:** Develop, track, and report key CI metrics, ensuring alignment with regional goals. + **Benchmarking & Best Practices:** Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices to enhance Xylem’s CI capabilities. **Key Qualifications & Experience:** + **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. + **Experience:** + 15+ years leading continuous improvement initiatives within industrial/manufacturing environments. + 10+ years in a management role with direct reports. + 8+ years leading CI in commercial and industrial manufacturing settings. + Extensive experience in Lean material flow, Six Sigma problem-solving, and operational efficiency improvements. + **Certifications:** Green/Black Belt, TPS, or Lean Certification preferred. + **Skills:** + Strong data analytics capabilities, including trend analysis and root cause problem-solving. + Expertise in facilitating multi-day rapid improvement events (PFEP, VSM, MDI, TPM, 5S, etc.). + Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver on financial savings targets. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to present professional reports and training sessions. + Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Smart Sheet, and Minitab is preferred.
