Your Role:
Tenable is seeking a CICD/DevOps Senior Engineer with a passion for automation and embracing DevOps culture to join the team. The engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of systems to continually build, test and deploy software into various environments, including production. This will include processes, tooling and infrastructure setup/management which help product teams accurately and repeatedly promote software through the various stages of our SSDLC.
Your Opportunity:
Work in a team of tight-knit engineers who are building & operating state-of-the-art DevOps infrastructure
Be a leader in providing the DevOps services for use across all Tenable Engineering departments
Manage the tools & infrastructure needed to provide our DevOps services
Continuously evaluate new tools in the advancement of our DevOps service
Ensure all processes and procedures are documented
Provide automated reports for all build and deployment processes
Participate in the design and deployment of testing environments for validating application stability, performance, etc.
Evangelize continuous delivery philosophies and practices
Provide auditable results of build pipelines for SSDLC audits and compliance
Research and deploy best-in-class technologies as Tenable’s needs change
Collaborate with a wide variety of talented engineers to help them build reliable and scalable services
What You'll Need:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a structured build environment with strong knowledge in software development and release practices
Strong understanding of source control operations, GIT strongly preferred
Experience with writing clean, testable code using OOP principles
Experience with troubleshooting CI pipeline issues
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
Experience using CI systems e.g. Jenkins/Cloudbees (preferred), Bamboo, Github Actions
Experience with Terraform
Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS preferred)
Proficient in Linux, with strong scripting skills in Bash
And Ideally:
Experience automating multiple applications across multiple platforms and multiple operating system
Sufficient technical depth to communicate with other teams at a peer level
Strong team player with the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, AWS Cloudwatch, etc
Experience with logging tools like Splunk
Experience with Java, Scala, Groovy, Node JS, Python or Kotlin will be a big plus
Experience with Helm
Experience with building and releasing distributed, microservice oriented applications
Experience with Gradle, NPM, Sbt or other build automation tools
Experience using other infrastructure automation tools e.g. Pulumi, OpenTofu CloudFormation, Packer, etc.
