Circuit Actions Technician III

Senior Circuit Actions Technician III supports circuit actions tasks in accordance with DISA Circular 310-7-1. Supports the day-to-day operations of the circuit management office. Also supports the day-to-day operations of the Tech Control Facility. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. Responsibilities Major Job Activities: Perform circuit actions tasks in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency Circular (DISAC) 310-70-1 and the task/delivery order to support the day-to-day operations of the Circuit Management Office (CMO). Tasks include: Prepare tactical request for service (TRFS) documents using the USCENTCOM TRFS format and submit to USCENTCOM/CCJO and the USAFCENT/A6X CMO; Prepare documents using the DISA Direct Store Front circuit provisioning system and submit them to DISA; Prepare in-effect, exception, and delayed service reports for strategic circuits, using the Telecommunications Certification Office Support System completion report writer program, and for tactical circuits, using formatted email messages; Update and maintain a TRFS/telecommunication service request log for tracking circuit actions; Maintain historical files, circuit history folders, and develop and maintain circuit layout records (CLR); Update and maintain the USAFCENT portion of the Mission-Essential Circuit List using the USCENTCOM Command Communications Service Designator website on Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet); Update and maintain link, trunk, circuit, and system diagrams for all USAFCENT communications connectivity using Microsoft Visio; Deploy to locations supporting the USAFCENT AOR to engineer, install/de-install, test, and document circuits, IAW Telecommunications Service Order (TSO) or Tactical Telecommunications Service Order requirements; Attend engineering planning, design, and review meetings supporting USAFCENT, when required; Perform informal familiarization and training on the hardware and TCF operations, as required, Provide circuit engineering assistance to the USAFCENT A63 Theater communications engineer; Provide troubleshooting assistance to A63 and USAFCENT sites within theater; Review drawings and provide comments concerning communications requirements; Attend design and review meetings; Perform informal familiarization training on the hardware and operation of the facility. Material & Equipment Directly Used: Government computers and DoD approved software. Working Environment: Working environment is a climate-controlled facility. Outdoor temperatures may exceed temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekend Physical Activities: Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. unassisted Qualifications Education / Certifications: High School diploma or GED IAT-II Certified U.S. Citizen Active Secret Tier 3 (or higher) Security Clearance Experience / Skills: Lead-level practical experience installing new communications circuits; solving complex problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits and ability to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment; AND 5 years’ experience in activating new TCF circuits within equipment: NET Promina; KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries; Cisco Routers/Switches; Patch panels/maintenance panels; fiber optic modems and interface cards; AND Lead-level experience in circuit actions at the base, camp, station, MAJCOM, unified command or component level.
