Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Essential Functions:

Completes manufacturing in compliance with quality specificationsInput for improved methods, tooling, and assembly aids required to achieve special design engineering requirementsSupports root cause analysis of failed electronic components, and recommends corrective actionsCorrects manufacturing failures by making adjustments, or replacing parts or components as directedMay monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control proceduresPerforms continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality, cost, and schedule or other items of value to the businessMaintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times as detailed in company policy and procedureUphold high ethical standardsSupport OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needsOther responsibilities as assigned by ManagementWorks to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience in prototype and first time build processes Knowledgeable in manufacturing process improvement through adoption of more efficient methods using tools such as, lean, six sigma, just do it, and TOC techniques Demonstrated ability to comprehend schematics, logic drawings, layouts, wire lists, and printsMay lift medium weightsExperience with SAP, SAPME, TeamCenter enterprise resource planning and lifecycle management software
