Circulation Course Reserves Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY: The Circulation Course Reserves Coordinator is a mission-critical staff member that works with the Head of Circulation in conjunction with circulation staff and student workers. This position is individually responsible for coordinating course reserves and engaging with faculty members to make library resources accessible to the Skidmore community. The Circulation Course Reserves Coordinator contributes to all aspects of library management, and as essential personnel may be called upon to work when the campus is otherwise closed. This is a full time, 12 months per year position. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: + Manage course reserves in conjunction with faculty, bibliographic services, and the circulation department. + Open and staff the library during morning hours. + Maintain open communication with building personnel to address concerns, facilitate projects, and perform daily operations. + Lead the missing item search process and order replacements as necessary. + Collect and file departmental records. + Hire, train, and supervise fleet of 35-40 of student workers. + Maintain Library stacks in the library building and in our storage facility located on campus. + Staff the building during operational hours and provide excellent customer service. + Participate in departmental and library meetings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: No minimum education required. 1-2 years of college or equivalent experience preferred.
