Cirrus Service Center Manager
Job Summary

The Service Center Manager has responsibility to oversee all maintenance operations at the Cirrus Aircraft Factory Service Center while leading a culture of service excellence.  The Service Center Manager has the authority for the overall administration and operation of the repair station.  In addition, the Factory Service Center Manager ensures the repair stations continued compliance to all applicable local, State and Federal requirements.    In this capacity the Service Center Manager provides leadership to the on-site team in the execution of the organization goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Responsible for maintaining the CFR 145 Repair Station Certification and serve as the Accountable Manager for the repair station. Manage day to day maintenance operations and support functions. Maintain compliance with Environmental Health & Safety guidelines as well as all Federal, State and local regulatory requirements. In conjunction with Cirrus Services Leadership develop the sites long / short term goals & objectives Lead site 5S activities and the implementation of lean processes Utilize daily / weekly / monthly KPI’s and targeted operational objectives driving continuous improvement. Ensure timely communication to Owners providing updates and information related to the aircraft maintenance status. Champion and provide for the development of all team members Identify and mentor future leaders. Ensure all personnel are properly trained in the appropriate safety practices and procedures. Ensure technicians are using the appropriate technical data available during the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations. Ascertain qualifications of all technical employees prior to work assignment through tests, evaluation, and previous experience Provide direction and technical guidance on complex issues Ensure the facility, shop equipment and all tools are maintained in a clean, orderly and kept in an organized manner at all times. Ensure that all maintenance or alteration processes are appropriately completed and documented on the maintenance forms.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors in Aviation Management or Aviation Maintenance Technologies and 4 years experience in aviation maintenance or 8 yrs. combination of education & experience in aircraft maintenance MRO operations

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 7 years aircraft maintenance experience 2 years prior experience in a leadership capacity within the aviation industry related to aircraft maintenance preferred

Certification Requirements:

FAA Inspection Authorization preferred

License Requirements:

FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required

Other Specific Requirements:

Thorough working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations specifically, CFR parts 43, 91, 145, 91K, 135 and 121. Thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance methods, techniques, practices and process controls acceptable to the Administrator Demonstrated skills of business acumen – analyze data and identify opportunities, creating objectives aligned with the Organization goals, establish plans & parameters, decision making, manage and track results Demonstrated planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of the Service Center team within a multiple projects Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, team members and Owners. Demonstrated communication skills necessary to effectively communicate and or facilitate discussions with co-workers, team members and Owners. Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application Working knowledge of software / systems including Work, Excell, PowerPoint etc.
