JOB SUMMARY
The CIRV Department Technician functions under the supervision of the CIRV Leadership to perform direct and indirect patient care tasks and clerical duties to assist in the function of the medical team and to help meet patient and family needs during their time in the CIRV.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Must have or has had a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Emergency Medical technician (EMT) awarded by the State of Wisconsin, Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) program, successful completion of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology courses, and/or has other related health care experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire
Preferred/Optional: Certified in a related health care field, e.g. Health unit coordinator experience, certified nursing assistance (CNA) experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: One year direct patient care experience. May consider nursing clinical hours and/or nursing internship, EMT or paramedic course completion.
Preferred/Optional: Experience working as a Cath Lab or Operating room Assistant, nursing assistant (CNA), and unit/or coordinator in a hospital setting.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Associate (AHA) within one year of hire.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Associate (AHA) at time of hire.
