ResponsibilitiesEverwatch Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator to support existing network infrastructure across multiple remote locations for Air Force Distributed Common Ground Station – National Mission Partner (AF DCGS-NMP) systems. This position is open to candidates willing to work with a well-established and evolving team. The ideal candidate will provide network administration support to Cisco network devices providing connectivity to mission systems and workstations; actively monitor and troubleshoot network issues; resolve trouble tickets; and update and switches and routers as necessary. The Network Administrator will work closely with the System Engineers and Administrators to ensure continuous operations for mission users through implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of network devices and infrastructure.
Design and implement network solutions in addition to supporting existing network infrastructureConfigure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches) Conduct complex network problem analysis; resolve complex network problemsResearch, recommend, and evaluate network performance, optimization and security solutionsAssist system engineers and cross-organizational teams to formulate solutions in response to mission requirementsIntroduce and integrate new network technologiesPerform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve server connectivity and performance issues Administer network standards, including naming conventions and address protocols Monitor, analyze and manage network traffic and other conditions to achieve optimal performance and uptimeAnalyzes data to minimize network congestionFamiliarity with trouble ticket reporting systems like JIRA and/or SERENA
Qualifications TS/SCI clearance with polygraph5+ years of experience in contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, or related discipline from an accredited college or universityIn lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in the field of computer network administration and engineeringRecent experience with administration of Cisco networking devicesSecurity+ or higher DoD 8570 certificationExperience with architecting and designing complex DoD network systemsExperience with Cisco network switches, routers, and firewallsExperience working in classified spaces to implement network solutionsExperience with implementing certificate-based encryption on network devicesExperience with leading the design, test, and deployment of DoD systems or solutionsExperience with configuring and troubleshooting SSL and IPSec VPNs and analyzing network trafficKnowledge of routing protocols
