Job Description:

We are currently seeking an AutoCAD/Civil 3D Design Technician. This role will utilize Civil 3D to assist the engineering staff with the design of civil engineering projects/plan production.

Duties Include:

Civil 3D pipe networks and profilesCivil 3D drainage design and analysisCivil 3D pressure pipe networksCivil 3D Terrain Modeling - compute earthwork volumes from generated surfacesProvide design drawings and supporting technical data for the project designEnsure proper dimensioning, completeness of material quantities and specifications, and design needs relative to regulatory codesUtilize 2D and 3D CAD skills and engineering tools for the production of design deliverables including drawings and material take offs for overall civil projectsCommunicate work status and information needs with the project teamIdentifying and addressing technical inconsistencies and contract scope changes

Qualifications:

Associates degree or 2 year technical degree – or – a minimum 3 years of related experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3DExperience with civil engineering projects that include paving, grading, water distribution, wastewater collection and earthwork design and calculationsGood analytical capabilitiesAbility to interpret and use given standards of drafting, calculation, file managementAbout Actalent
