Civil Airfield Engineer

As a Civil Airfield Engineer in our Aviation group supporting our Houston, TX office you will too. You will have the chance to work on Aviation projects alongside our Land Development group. Preforming civil design calculations computer modeling, calculations, detailing, and plan set production for runways, drainage, and utilities. Take advantage of working the brightest you will contribute to coordinating project assignments with other engineers and technicians from various discipline groups. Along with research design options and documents findings. As your career grows you will be attending meetings with clients and interacting with several key players in the industry. This role offers expertise across all core engineering, construction management, architecture, and specialty aviation disciplines. Our global aviation experience extends to working at more than 400 airports worldwide, including 25 of the Top 30 airports in the United States. • A Professional License (PE) in Texas or able to transfer and existing license from another state • A minimum of 10 Years’ Experience • Airfield Design Experience (Aprons, Taxiways and Runways) • Geometric / Fillet Design • Pavement Design / Evaluation • Knowledge of Airfield Lighting Design • Knowledge of Utilities and Drainage • Unique Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars • AutoCADD, Civil 3D Ideally, You’ll Also Have:   • Experience with the development of reports, plans and specifications using FAA, UFC, or ICAO criteria Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
