Civil CAD Designer
Job Title: Civil CAD Designer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Civil CAD Designer to support land development projects for a mid-sized civil engineering firm. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, clients, and contractors. Your main responsibilities will involve preparing civil engineering drawings for site development, including grading, storm water drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and storm sewers. You will work on a variety of projects including educational, residential/multifamily, retail, restaurant, municipal, and subdivision developments. Responsibilities + Prepare civil engineering drawings for site development projects. + Design and draft site layouts, grading plans, storm water drainage systems, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and storm sewers. + Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and contractors. + Ensure projects meet strict deadlines and work efficiently. + Assist in running projects as a designer once proficient. + Collaborate on a wide variety of project types to gain diverse experience. Essential Skills + Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. + 3+ years of experience in site design, including site layout, grading, storm water drainage, and sanitary sewers. + Experience in grading design, surface development, feature lines, pipe parts libraries, and pipe networks. + Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet strict deadlines. PLUS (not reuired) + Degree in Civil Engineering. + EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification. + Experience with civil engineering, site civil design, stormwater design, and surveying. Work Environment This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. Our Columbus office houses around 30 team members.
