Civil/Construction Engineer Intern

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a traveling civil/construction engineering intern. In this role, you will be a member of a field team who works on a variety of environmental self-perform construction sites. This position requires extensive travel to job sites locally, regionally, and country wide. You will typically be traveling for two - three weeks at a time and then home for a long weekend. This is a great opportunity to join an established team working supporting our mission of Improving Quality of Life.

As a traveling civil/construction engineering intern, you will work within the larger Global Resilience Business Area.  In Resilience, we work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. 

Role accountabilities:

Excavation and Restoration of remediated properties Light construction activities including framed construction Light Demolition including jack hammering of concrete Manage concrete work, painting, and landscaping Remedial system installs and removal Heavy labor to include shoveling and carrying materials up to 50 lbs. Installation of fencing and construction materials Oil and Gas and Railroad industry experience preferred
 

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related engineering discipline. 

Preferred: 

1+ years of previous internship or work experience on environmental construction sites preferred Experience with construction equipment. 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.

Arcadis offers benefits for part-time, as needed positions. These benefits include EAP, 401K, and optional well-being benefits. The salary range for this position is $17.00 - $26.00 / per hour. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
