They ... are seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Construction Operations Manager to join their team and lead their construction operations to new heights. The Civil Construction Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the execution of our diverse portfolio of heavy civil projects. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of heavy civil construction processes and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil construction projects and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all operational activities related to construction projects.
Collaborate with Management to maintain structure, support, administrative systems and methodologies to meet contract obligations in relation to quality, safety, environmental aspects, sub-contractor agreements, procurement, cost control, scheduling and estimating management processes and procedures.
Maintain effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and optimize project performance
Monitor project progress and performance metrics and take proactive measures to mitigate risks and delays.
Facilitate and promote the development of training in Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, Environmental aspects & Continual Improvement requirements.
Support Operations group with incident & near miss investigations and correcting identified deficiencies and/or actions.
Ensure governance processes are implemented across the business unit to guarantee HSE and other key business processes, regulations and legislation requirements are understood, implemented and monitored.
Ensure Industry/Site procedures and documents meet the requirements of Global Standards and contractual requirements. Ensure all new contracts/sites are addressed by management.
Ensure company operating procedures and system documents are uniform and are utilized at all levels.
Act as designated representative in all quality related matters for operations.
Maintain high-level customer satisfaction and strong relationships with all key working personnel.
Report on the status and performance to Management, and Site Managers as necessary.
Ensure that corrective actions taken are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
Other duties (not listed) may be assigned to this job at any time.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Proven knowledge of Heavy Highway, Site work, underground utilities, concrete and asphalt construction.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Ability to negotiate, coordinate and plan effectively.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities, maintain a significant customer focus and positive customer service attitude.
Show knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed safely.
Ability to recognize and communicate hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and adjust to avoid loss, injury or accident.
