Job Title: Civil Design Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking multiple Civil Engineers/Designers to join our team. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and/or Detroit Market Lead. With three local metro Detroit offices, candidates can work from any of these locations based on their residence. The preferred location is the Detroit office, and we offer a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).

ResponsibilitiesPerform production work including design, engineering calculations, and reports.Conduct site visits and support permit applications.Provide construction assistance and evaluate land use and zoning requirements.Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D daily for production work.Support primarily private sector projects and occasionally city projects.Focus on site/land development work, particularly grading, drainage, sanitary/sewer, and utilities work.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.1-5 years of experience in Civil Site Development design projects (co-op/internship and/or class projects acceptable).Experience with Civil 3D (class project or training acceptable).Additional Skills & QualificationsEIT or PE certification.Experience designing grading, drainage, utilities, and sanitary/sewer systems.Urban planning/design experience.3-5 years of experience in the field.Work Environment

Our Detroit office is a small team of about 15 people, with plans to grow to 20 over the next two years. You may also work from either our Novi or Rochester Hills office if it is more convenient. We offer a collaborative and team-focused work environment with a fun atmosphere. The work schedule is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, although the first month will require more in-office presence for training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
