Job Description
As a Civil Designer, you will perform detailed calculations, quantity take-offs, and other design details on commercial, residential, and educational projects. The majority of your work will be focused on K-12 projects, with opportunities to engage in private sector work, primarily commercial. You will utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce construction documents and designs. While you will primarily work in the office, occasional site visits for planning meetings and drawing reviews may be required.
ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed calculations and quantity take-offs for various projects.Produce construction documents using AutoCAD.Design using Civil 3D, focusing on K-12 and commercial projects.Act as an intermediary between junior production staff and project managers.Delegate tasks to junior staff and manage project workflows independently.Conduct site visits as needed for planning meetings and drawing reviews.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D design.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.Experience in grading, surfacing, and sanitary/sewer design projects.Site/Land Development project experience.Strong Civil 3D design skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with K-12 projects is a bonus.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, with flexible hours. The role requires being in the office most of the time, with possible site visits once a week. The average workweek is 45-50 hours, though working over 40 hours is not mandatory. Hybrid work flexibility is offered with a requirement of three days in the office. The company values a team-focused environment, offering team-building events and activities. Two remote days per week are available, along with annual discretionary bonuses. Employees receive 8 paid holidays and 2-3 weeks of vacation, depending on current offerings.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
