Job Title: Civil DesignerJob Description Seeking an AutoCad designer who is familiar with paving, drainage, and utilities projects for land development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience relevant to civil drafting/design. Responsibilities + Grading + Roadway design + Stormwater management + Storm drain design + Water & sewer design + Sediment & erosion control + Assist with compliance, permits, inspections, surveys, and other documentation + Calculate effects of many factors and produce comprehensive reports to inform design + Create site and civil designs to account for grade, water, sewer, roads, erosion, and other factors + Collaborate with team members to produce quality designs and construction Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCad + Experience in land development + Knowledge of paving, drainage, and utilities + Skills in grading and roadway design + Experience in stormwater management and storm drain design + Proficiency in water & sewer design + Knowledge of sediment & erosion control + Experience with Civil 3D + Knowledge of site development and civil design + Skills in engineering, drafting, and CAD Additional Skills & Qualifications + Effective time management skills + Strong written communication skills + Analytical and interpersonal skills + Articulate with solid decision-making skills + Planning and organizational skills Work Environment This position offers a flexible schedule, with start times between 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM and Friday afternoons off. The office environment is collaborative and supportive, with team members helping each other out. The office has recently been renovated with new desks and chairs. Located a mile off I-95, the commute is short and convenient. The majority of projects are in Brevard County, with no travel required, allowing you to see projects through from initial concept to final design.
