Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking highly motivated Civil Designer to join our Environmental Business Line in the Greenville, SC office, working on rewarding projects within a diverse culture, and having access to exceptional training and career development opportunities.

AECOM is searching for candidates with experience in the CCR market that are a leader and role model, client-focused, impactful and decisive. This is a great opportunity for highly motivated engineers to build on your career while helping address the region’s key environmental and engineering challenges.

In this role, you will support the design of various solid waste disposal facilities, earthen dams, and other civil, geotechnical, and remediation projects. Landfill design and stormwater, erosion and sediment control design experience is preferred.  Strong AutoCAD and Civil3D experience is required.

The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:

Development of engineering drawingsPreparing stormwater and grading plansCompleting construction quantity takeoffs for cost estimatingPerforming civil engineering design calculations for earthworkReport preparation and developing technical specificationsReview of construction submittals. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationAs a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or related field3+ years of experience in civil design and grading plan preparationStrong ability with AutoCAD Civil3D, including developing grading and surfaces, developing cross-sections and profiles of proposed designs, and preparing engineering drawings.Familiarity with storm water design calculations or erosion and sediment control plan preparationExperience performing site inspections, investigations, or construction quality assuranceExperience in solid waste or coal combustion residuals (CCR)
