Civil Drafter/Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• We are seeking civil drafters with 0-5 years of experience

• Collaborate with civil engineers to understand project expectations and design requirements

• Receive sketches from civil engineers and transform them into digital documents using computer-assisted drawing programs

• Prepare planning documents related to oil and gas pipelines and other infrastructure projects

• Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy are essential when creating technical documents

• Civil drafters combine technical expertise with artistic skills to create maps and planning documents

• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land Desktop, and GIS is crucial for drafting support

• To qualify for a civil drafter position, consider earning at least an associate degree in drafting

Two-year programs, typically offered at community colleges or technical schools, cover the fundamentals of drafting and provide practical experience with manual drafting and computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
