Your Role: 

The position is based in Irvine, Oakland, or San Luis Obispo, CA. 

Civil Engineering infrastructure design that includes stormwater capture/water quality management, low impact development/green infrastructure, grading and drainage (using Civil3D), hydrology and hydraulics, ADA ramp design, street design as it relates to complete/green streets  Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and work collaboratively with other Tetra Tech engineering disciplines (Survey, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Scientists, Landscape Architects, etc.)  Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses  Prepare detailed engineering reports and supporting documents  Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates 

 

Qualifications:

BS in Civil Engineering (or similar) Required; 0-3 years of experience;   EIT Certificate is strongly preferred Background, project work experience and process knowledge of feature lines, precise grading, surfaces, and drainage using Civil3D is ideal Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills; Ability to self-direct and self-check plan sets and reports, along with others work product; Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D (formal training desired), word processing and spreadsheet management programs with working knowledge of applicable codes, especially as they pertain to ADA curb ramps; Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
