Job Title: Civil Engineer - Engineer IIJob Description
A Civil Engineering Consulting firm is seeking an Engineer II to join their dynamic team. This role involves a mix of design and drafting work, focusing on site layouts, subdivision plans, and public improvement plans, among other projects. The Engineer II will have the opportunity to work on diverse tasks, providing valuable assistance to planning and surveying departments as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in the preparation of site layouts, subdivision plans, site plans, public improvement plans, drainage studies, grading studies, floodplain studies, adjoining owner notifications, and code updates.
+ Participate in utility layout design, including horizontal and vertical grading, street design, SWM facilities, open channel flow, storm and sanitary sewer design, erosion siltation controls, BMPs, and transportation engineering.
+ Utilize ACAD 2004 and other relevant software proficiently.
+ Facilitate communication with clientele and local government agencies, attending necessary meetings and conferences.
+ Support the planning and surveying departments with feasibility studies, zoning submittals, and survey functions as workload permits.
Essential Skills
+ Degree in Civil Engineering.
+ 1-6 years of experience in civil drafting/designing commercial and/or residential communities (land development)
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
+ Experience in preparing site plans.
+ EIT certification is preferred, or a plan to sit for the FE.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
