Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Civil Engineer who is proficient in Civil 3D focused on water/wastewater design. This individual will manage wastewater design projects from start to finish with some support from drafters/designers when needed. Projects include general municipal civil engineering projects with specialties in water supply, transmission, treatment, storage, and distribution; wastewater collection, pumping, treatment, and disposal; systems controls and telemetry; special studies including master development plans, stormwater, spill prevention, water and wastewater system modeling, and permitting.

ResponsibilitiesManage wastewater design projects from inception to completion.Prepare engineering design drawings using field surveying data, reports, maps, drawings, and topographical and geologic data.Determine and prepare project cost estimates.Maintain all aspects of the project life cycle.Prepare contractor pay requests.Confirm contractor adherence to construction specifications by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and reviewing shop drawings.Ensure design drawings and contract documents comply with federal, state, and local requirements.Manage CAD, surveying, clerical, and other support staff directly involved with the project.Essential SkillsProficient in Civil 3DStrong background in water/wastewater engineering designExperience in stormwater, wastewater, and drainage designAbility to handle projects from start to finishExperience in preparing engineering design drawingsStrong understanding of civil design and piping designAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in AutoCAD Civil 3DKnowledge in preparing project cost estimatesAbility to manage and monitor project progressExperience in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirementsWork Environment

In-office work environment with site visits as needed based on the state of the project. The company is growing rapidly with a lot of work in the upcoming years and has recently opened a new office due to expansion throughout the state.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00
