Civil Engineer - Huntingburg, IN

We are actively hiring a Civil Engineer to support Water/Wastewater projects in Huntingburg, IN! This person will work with a Project Team to complete assigned tasks, and projects will include: Wastewater, Storm Water, Water Distribution Systems, Water Facilities/Plants, Dams, Levees, Site Civil Work, and Sustainable Infrastructure. This person may work on both Rehabilitation projects and New-Build projects for Municipal Clients, including different cities, towns, and communities across Indiana. Through these projects, this candidate will participate in helping communities and industries solve complex environmental infrastructure problems that are integral to our society. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to begin his/her career with a team-based organization that is focused on learning and professional development.

Job Responsibilities

Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.Work under the supervision of a project manager or experienced team member.Perform sub-professional engineering tasks such as field work, inspections, engineering reports, permits, construction engineering, and simple design calculations.Coordinate with contractors.Review construction drawings and specifications.Contact government officials for permits.

Job Requirements

B.S. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering1-3 years of experience in Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Site Development, Stormwater/DrainageGraduation GPA of 3.2 or higherMay consider candidates with 3.0 GPA if they have a B or higher in all Hydrology CoursesWill not consider any candidates below 3.0 GPABasic Engineering Principles & Willingness to Learn New SkillsPreferred but Not Required - Professional Experience (does not have to be Entry Level)Preferred but Not Required - Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam CertificationPreferred but Not Required - Graduate Degree in Related Engineering Discipline

Schedule & Compensation:

Standard hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates may choose to work a flexible schedule instead, where they may start as early as 7am (and leave early) or as late as 9am (and stay later). Candidates may also choose to work 9-hour days Monday through Thursday, with a 4-hour day on Friday.Some overtime hours will be required.Starting Salary for this role are set at:Entry Level Civil Engineers with no FE = $72,000Entry Level Civil Engineer with FE = $74,000Experienced Civil Engineer with FE = Negotiable Depending on ExperiencePerson will get Straight Time pay for overtime hours worked after 40 hours in a given week.Candidates will receive 9 Paid Holidays and 2 Weeks of PTO to start.Candidate can start as early as April 10th, or in May/June for Spring 2023 graduates.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.62 - $40.87/hr.
