Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team. This role involves working on a variety of complex projects, both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will take on multiple roles, including technical engineer, project lead, and project manager, to ensure successful project outcomes. Leadership skills are essential for mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage projects of varying complexity, providing technical design and guidance.Serve as the technical lead and Engineer-of-Record on multiple projects.Manage project teams and budgets, ensuring financial performance and project delivery.Develop project scopes, budgets, and design approaches for projects of all sizes.Support business development efforts, including client account management and proposal writing.Lead coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, clients, contractors, and vendors.Conduct quality assurance and quality control for both personal and peer projects.Essential SkillsProven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring high-quality deliverables.Expertise in civil engineering design, construction methods, and industry standards.Strong understanding of local design standards, particularly Metro Vancouver.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff.Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software (AutoCAD, StormCAD, WaterCAD, REVIT).Strong communication, presentation, and client interaction skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification in British Columbia or eligibility for registration.Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water infrastructure.Work Environment
The work environment includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and working on various water infrastructure projects. The role involves using technology and software such as AutoCAD, StormCAD, WaterCAD, and REVIT. The position may require attending coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, clients, contractors, and vendors. Standard business attire is expected.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
