The Opportunity
Assist the Project Team in the accomplishment of assigned projects through delivery of accurate and correct drawings and preparation of digital data/figures and other associated drawings
The role is based in Manila office.
Your role in our team
Prepares structural analysis and design calculations and sketches of wide range of projects such as bridges & viaducts (road, rail), culverts, liquid and soil retaining structures, buildings (industrial, manufacturing), transport (rail/bus stations, pedestrian), marine (ports, on/offloading facilities, jetties, quays, offshore structures), energy projects (solar, wind, hydropower, LNG) and other non-building structures (eg. equipment and machine support) Provides and reviews structural design calculations and drawings. Attends and participate kick-off, progress and coordination meetings on various projects. Timely submission of structural design calculations and drawings. Documents and archives project related documents such as: correspondences, drawings and reports. Contributes inputs on analysis for reports. Prepares progress survey reports for clients. Assists in conducting site inspection for quality control and verification. Conducts condition assessment and structural integrity survey for various types of structure Participates in client meeting with higher level of engineers. Is this role right for you?
Licensed Civil Engineer; post-graduate studies (Msc or PhD) will be an advantage. At least 3 years exp in a similar capacity with specialization in civil structural engineering, preferably gained from multi-disciplinary consulting firms or similar industries. Sound knowledge of the principles of civil and structural engineering including mechanics of materials (steel, concrete, soil, water), techniques and procedures of design and technology/methods of construction Knowledge and practical experience of general analysis, design, and BIM softwares, eg. AutoCAD/Microstation, Civil3D/InRoads, ArcGIS, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, MIDAS Civil, Oasys Software, etc.; hands-on and practical experience with Infraworks is an advantage. Knowledge and practical application of code of practice for both local (NBC, NSCP, DPWH) and international projects (ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, FHWA, ASTM, BS, Eurocodes, etc.); Initiative and technical ingenuity in solving design problems. Good oral and written English communication skills; fluency with other local dialects and foreign languages is a plus. Familiar and hands-on application with numerical programming languages such as C++, VB, SQL, Python, etc. is a plus. Practical experience in rapid visual surveys, condition assessments, structural integrity surveys, seismic assessments, materials testing and methods (Intrusive/NDT), construction QA/QC and site supervision role is an advantage. Hands-on and practical experience in application of visual programming languages (eg. Grasshopper, Dynamo, Power BI, GeometryGym, Salamander, Karamba, etc.), automation tools (eg. AutoIT, Speckle), gaming engine (Unity, Blender) and API or COM interface is a definite advantage.
