Job Description

The role of Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Design is a critical position within our organization, demanding a high level of expertise and professionalism. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Executing specific and strategically defined components of broader engineering initiatives under the guidance of seasoned professionals.Meticulously gathering and correlating essential engineering data utilizing established and well-defined methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability.Addressing detailed and routine engineering assignments that involve complex calculations and sophisticated testing procedures.Demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills by proposing well-reasoned approaches to overcome newly encountered challenges.Conducting thorough analyses to identify and rectify discrepancies in results, ensuring the highest standards of quality control.Providing mentorship and professional guidance to entry-level engineers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.Executing projects with a high degree of autonomy, adhering strictly to agreed-upon budgets and schedules while operating under moderate supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

4 - 8 years relevant experience post qualification in infrastructure designProfessionally registered with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa)Own reliable transportProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design softwareStrong knowledge of local and national building codes and regulationsExcellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProven track record in designing sustainable and cost-effective infrastructure solutionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience in mentoring junior engineers and fostering team development
