Civil Engineer Internship

Osmose is currently seeking a part-time Civil Engineering Intern in our Atlanta downtown office to perform tasks related to interpreting and transferring field obtained data into a format that is required for the engineering team. This position has an emphasis on meeting customer expectations as it pertains to timely and accurate submission of deliverables detailed in the Responsibilities section. Engineers will work under the direction of a Supervisor and/or coordination of the Project Lead.

The position is an hourly, part-time position (estimated 25-29 hours per week). Schedule must allow some work from our downtown office although work hours can be adjusted to accommodate class schedule.

Responsibilities: Review field collected data for accuracy and completeness. Review field collected images both in quality and accuracy to verify the data. Work with internal teams and supervisor to provide regular and prompt feedback of discovered rejects and errors. Update internal spreadsheets and tracking systems, as necessary. Generate Engineering reports based on inspection results from the field. Use data/project management systems to document and track project progress. Be willing to assist other Project Teams on various tasks as needed. Qualifications: Completion of three years of college working towards a four-year Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering is preferred but not required. Understanding of basic engineering concepts, such as strength of materials, loads on structures, member forces, and reactions is a plus. Highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to multitask. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required. Good written and verbal communication skills.
