Kimley-Horn's Greenwood Village, Colorado (CO) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join their Land Development team! This is not a remote position. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Single Family Engineer to join our growing team in Denver. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading a team of engineers through the design process of single-family residential projects. This candidate will bring expertise, leadership, and technical knowledge to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities Assist in leading a team of engineers in the design and development of single-family residential projects including site layout, grading, drainage, utility design and stormwater managementPerform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projectsProjects will include a variety of land development site designsIn addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specificationsAssist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedulesThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projectsYou will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationshipsYou will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors Qualifications 8+ years of relevant engineering design experience with a consulting firm with experience working on single family residential designProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Candidates should have experience in civil site work and single family/residential design including grading, water distribution, sanitary sewer, drainage, and pavingExperience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasksCoordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians on his/her project teamDesire to grow and take on task management, concept design, assisting Project Management tasksFamiliar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standardsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3DAbility to build plan sets and other construction documentsDesign experience that includes utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting

Salary Range:
