We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer / Land Development for our Asheville, NC office! This position is available to an experienced engineer or a project manager with the drive and desire to make an impact in the Asheville Community.
Position Overview:
The individual will be responsible for leading design, planning, and scheduling. The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentorship, and design assistance to engineering staff for civil engineering and land development related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Development of detailed site and grading plans, and erosion and sediment control plansStorm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design, and construction detailing and specifications.Preparation of inventory assessments, analysis, and reportsAssist with business development in the Asheville, NC region, including upstate North Carolina.Engage in public outreach, business development, marketing, and client communication.Manage preliminary and final design and construction phase services for multiple projects.Complete civil and site research, report preparation, and technical specifications.Responsible for design, specifications, plans, maps, project schedule, and budgets.Review for quality assurance and control and ensure compliance with our quality standards.Participate in and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clients.Qualifications:
B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field.Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in the civil engineering field.Licensed professional engineer in North Carolina preferred, but not required.Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred and proficiency with Microsoft Office.Project management experience a plus, but we will train.Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a wide variety of projects.Excellent verbal and written communications and analytical/problem solving skills are essential.Must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies.Benefits
