Job Title: Civil Engineer PE/PMJob Description

This role involves designing and producing project deliverables that align with client objectives while meeting jurisdictional requirements and quality control standards. The individual will independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, using their judgment to make necessary adaptations and modifications. This position requires developmental experience in a professional capacity, and the Project Manager is accountable for the technical, functional, and creative quality of deliverables. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project delivery to assigned clients, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to service commitments. This project load will be specifically focused on Land Development and Site Development projects.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with department head to manage and ensure successful project realization.Establish and execute comprehensive client service plans and attend kick-off meetings.Coordinate proposals and contracts, and manage and coordinate projects.Manage project schedules, budgets, and billing, and solve project-related problems.Research, understand, and document jurisdictional requirements.Coordinate project team regarding design requirements.Develop creative and strategic design options that meet client’s needs.Prepare construction documents, calculations, technical reports, and specifications.Maintain an active and current set of construction documents.Attend QA/QC meetings and address internal comments.Conduct site feasibility studies and environmental analysis.Coordinate engineering systems and conduct site cost analysis.Develop schematic designs and construction documents.Handle bidding and contract negotiations, and attend construction progress meetings.Visit sites as required in the project scope of work and maintain current submittal logs.Process and review shop drawings and respond to RFI, ASI, etc., in a timely manner.Review and authorize contractor applications for payment.Prepare punch lists for project completion.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer registration in Indiana or the ability to obtain via reciprocity7+ years of experience in site design and project managementAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with land development and site developmentStrong client communication skillsAbility to prepare and oversee construction documents and technical reportsProficiency in engineering analyses and cost evaluationsWork Environment

Work hours are Monday to Thursday for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours, totaling 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime hours needed (40-45 hours). Flexible start times between 7-9 AM and end times between 4-6 PM. Ability to work from home when necessary, although this is not a remote or hybrid position. The office is new and well-appointed, located in a nice office park with walking trails, a gym, and other outdoor activities. The company has an excellent culture with a strong team environment and many team-building activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
