**Description**
Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) Energy Division is looking for a well-rounded and driven civil Engineer in the Mumbai Office to generate 2D and 3D drawings for new and retrofit designs at power generation facilities. The Power Division focuses on power-generating facilities that offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences.
This individual will be the Civil Engineer on a multi-disciplinary design team at a successful and growing company. Be part of a high-performance group focusing on emerging power plant-based reciprocating engine/Battery storage/Solar technology that’s being adopted across the U.S. and the globe.
Civil Engineer will work on an integrated design team within our Power Global Practice to perform the following duties:
+ Responsible for the Civil design at power generation facilities using Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk Civil 3D
+ Plan and develop a detailed design for site layout, site grading, storm drainage, SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan), roads, rail, ponds, ash landfill, and other civil-related components, as well as underground coordination with other disciplines and permitting support.
+ Provide a range of drawing production work, including site layouts, erosion control, grading plans, grading sections, road & rail profiles, stormwater, and details.
+ Use CAD software, including Bentley MicroStation or CONNECT, Bentley, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoTURN, and stormwater Calculation software like Flo 2D, HydroCAD, Culvert Master & Flow Master, and ArcGIS.
+ Use other supporting software, such as Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Office 365, Google Earth Pro, and Global Mapper.
+ Use 3D CAD software to generate surfaces, road & rail alignments, pipe networks, cut & fill quantities, corridors, manage styles, and template development.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of CAD standards and best practices.
+ Learn and apply company, client, and project drafting standards and procedures successfully.
+ Demonstrate ability to apply formulas, principles, and practices to complete required drawings.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of assigned and related disciplines.
+ Coordinate drafting activities with other designers, drafters, and design disciplines.
+ Successfully communicate and correspond with internal design resources and external clients and personnel.
+ Execute design changes and project drawing revisions.
+ Maintain CAD proficiency and work toward mastering current CAD systems.
+ Travel to the United States as required and requested to support assignments on projects and overall office needs;
+ All other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 2-6 years of related experience
+ Design software understanding of MicroStation and Civil 3D is preferred.
+ An understanding of AutoCAD is beneficial for expert design software.
+ knowledge of civil design, calculations and design systems.
+ Knowledge in the theory and practices of civil discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers and Designers both in Mumbai and United States) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
+ Ability to independently complete required design.
+ Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
