Kimley-Horn's Eden Prairie office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Renewable Energy team!
Responsibilities Our Renewable Energy team works on projects including:Solar Site Design (Community-scale & Utility-scale)Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) DesignEntitlements Support (all project sizes & types)Project Due Diligence and Site ConstraintsJurisdictional Permitting and Agency CoordinationAssist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedulesThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projectsYou will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationshipsYou will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, owners, developers, and contractors Qualifications 4+ years of relevant engineering design experienceProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Candidates should have experience within the Renewable Energy discipline (or similar, with eagerness to learn about renewables!) including experience with design, permitting, and applicable software applicationsExperience with task management, conceptual and final design, and assisting project management tasksFamiliar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standardsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3DAbility to build plan sets and other construction documentsDesign experience that includes utilities, site layout, erosion control, grading & drainage, due diligence and permitting
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000
