• Supervise the implementation of all fieldwork assigned to him or her according to the technical studies, timeline plans of work and safety standards and legislation related to construction in Haiti;
• Conduct site visits daily to follow up on progress in contractor work and guide the work;
• Prepare daily and weekly reports of work progress.
• Follow the agreed-on plan of action, implement the project according to the implementation schedule, reporting any delays or deviations immediately.
• Ensure the collection and documentation of impact and success stories and/or of the project to demonstrate the program's guidelines.
• Any related tasks/duties assigned by the Manager of the Program.
• Ensure that the works are executed according to the Health and Safety policies.
Education, Experience, and SkillsUniversity degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or relevant fields;Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in people management and construction supervision of all kinds mainly Water projectsStrong problem-identification and problem-solving skills;Strong practical knowledge in strengthening the community based on Local Resource Mobilization;( that’s the purpose for which the engineer will be hired)Proven experience in participatory assessments;Fluent in speaking French.The ability to speak English is a plus;Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities to develop support with the staff and to interact with churches and partner projects;Computer literate, experience with the internet, applications of Microsoft Office, presentation software and AUTOCAD;Ability to drive car and motorcycle to perform field visits throughout regions of Saint Raphaël, Grande Rivère du Nord, Dondon, Plaine du Nord, Limbé, Port-Margot, Petit Bourg de Borgne and Cap-Haitian. Knowledge and use of Technology of Information and Communication, to participate actively in virtual meetings.The position is based in Cap-Haitian, North Department.
