We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team as a Civil Engineering Group Leader to lead and inspire a talented group of professionals. This is a hybrid position that will be part of our Dublin, Ohio office, but has the flexibility to work remotely depending on client and project needs.

As a Civil Engineering Group Leader, you will work closely with our leadership and other Verdantas team members in the Midwest region to grow and lead our civil engineering services. This leadership role will drive the development and execution of a regional business plan, establish client relationships, and broaden Verdantas’ Civil Land Development/Infrastructure offerings.



Key Responsibilities Manage diverse, fast-paced projects involving multidisciplinary teams utilizing professional staff in multiple office locations Develop and maintain client relationships as primary or secondary client contact for projects Participate in selling and cross-selling efforts; (Civil, Survey, Geotech, Natural Resources and Environmental) Lead in the development of strategy, the scope of work, and budget for projects and lead presentations as part of client interviews/selection Planning, design and permitting civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects Represent client and project team at public meetings and hearings as required to support project permits and approvals Lead this team with an entrepreneurial spirit by presenting at industry conferences and building professional relationships with permitting authorities   Lead safety culture within the project team, including following safety protocols for all projects Track work progress relative to project schedules and budgets. Prepare necessary contract adjustments for changes in scope, schedule or fee Actively manage project metrics, WIP, AR and risk Supervise and provide work assignments to the project team Prepare, provide technical input, and/or review technical plans and reports Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards Interact with regulatory agencies knowing what information to provide, when and with appropriate internal or client review Plan and execute work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines Solve problems creatively and effectively and make informed decisions Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with clients to articulate and achieve project goals Mentor staff in required technical skills Communicate effectively and proactively with management, peers, and clients Possess detailed knowledge of regulations in the area of practice Motivate and encourage others and help the team achieve success


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university 10 plus years of experience working in a civil engineering and consulting environment and 5 of those years managing a diverse set of projects Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio Experience designing and permitting site and civil engineering projects in Ohio Experience with land use regulations and processes in Ohio
