Join us. **Job Description** AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering III in Phoenix, AZ. **Job Responsibilities:** + Evaluate and apply Traffic Engineering principles, standards, and criteria. + Interact directly with clients at project meetings and ensure that all client project designs meet engineering standards. + Interact directly with other disciplines such as roadway, drainage, structures, Geotech, water, and environment to coordinate design. + Adhere to project schedules and budgets and keep project PM/Discipline Lead aware of any issues. + Lead the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) packages based upon agency standards and specifications for traffic signal and pedestrian crossing control system design, ITS, roadway lighting, Signing and Pavement Marking, and MOT design. + Perform traffic operational analysis including traffic projections, analysis, and simulation using Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, and VISSIM. + Analyze crash data to identify crash patterns and probable causes, develop collision and condition diagrams. conduct predictive safety analysis. + Perform photometric analysis using AGi32 and Visual lighting. + Participate in transportation planning assignments, corridor studies, safety studies, and IAJR reports. + Prepare technical memorandums and papers for clients and/or internal distribution. + Conduct field reviews. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and team members. + Manage small to medium size projects independently. Manage big size projects under the guidance of senior project managers. + May telecommute. Full-time. Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer. **Qualifications** + Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or 5 years of experience in the job offered, or in a Civil Engineering related role + In the alternative the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered, or in an engineering-related occupation. Position requires: 1. Proposals, writing reports, analysis and modeling using software including Microstation Geopak and OpenRoads; 2. CAD, ITS Design, Traffic Engineering Design, and Lighting Design 3. VISSIM, HCS, and AGi32 4.
