**The opportunity**
WSP is currently seeking a Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Municipal Engineering Team in our Whitehorse office. As a Civil EIT, you will provide support to intermediate and senior level civil engineers on a wide variety of projects throughout the region of Northern British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. Our professionals will provide mentoring and opportunity to develop in a variety of civil and municipal practice areas. The position will involve significant time out of town on field assignment during the construction season.

**A day in the life:**
+ Design road, stormwater, water and wastewater infrastructure;
+ Coordinate the preparation of drawings required for approvals, prepare development and construction cost estimates;
+ Contribute to the cost effective, proper and timely production of engineering designs, that meet all client and approval agency requirements and standards;
+ Coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved;
+ Provide project management and construction contract administration services for municipal, First Nation, provincial, and federal projects as required
+ Construction services including site inspection and contract administration on projects, including travel
+ Surveying using GPS RTK equipment, robotic total stations, and survey levels
+ Drafting using Civil 3D
+ Attending design meetings with clients, other consultants, and contractors
+ Writing design reports
+ Site investigations
**What you'll bring to WSP ...**
+ An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
+ 1-3 years of experience in a consulting environment on municipal design projects is an asset
+ Experience with MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Eligibility for registration with Engineers Yukon is required
+ Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 or later
+ Previous success in customer services, client management and proposal/report writing is an asset
+ Strong English communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and teamwork skills
+ A Yukon Class 5 driver's license and a clean Driver’s Abstract
+ Willingness to work remotely in Yukon communities for 2-3 weeks at a time
+ A Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
