Responsibilities
Serve as Engineer of Record and support preparation of land development design and permitting documents for Solar and BESS development projects.Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems designResponsible for project financial performance and routine client communicationsAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders and community members to discuss project design and permitting issues Manage work and professional development of junior-level staffManage small, medium, and large projectsDevelop new project opportunities and assist with proposal development and submissionsSkills and Attributes
Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office. ArcGIS skills desirable.Skills to implement the integrated services approach. Comprehensive understanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation including site layout, grading, erosion control and stormwater management.Knowledge of land development construction, construction materials and detailing. Detail drawings, sections, and material specificationsProject research and analysisStrong, creative engineering skills and ability to adhere to office standardsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivatedAbility to multitask, think critically and attention to detailExcels at working in a team environmentExhibits strong leadership skills and growth potentialHas interest in growing business development skillsQualifications
BS in Civil Engineering or related degree8+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projectsPE licensure in Virginia or obtain within 6 monthsProficient in site layout, grading, and stormwater managementExperience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
