Civil/Environmental Engineer -- Orlando, Florida

We’re seeking a talented Civil/Environmental Engineer based in Orlando, FL, to support the engineering design team in delivering solid waste landfill expansion and closure projects. Experience in transfer station and processing facilities permitting, design and construction support projects is a plus. You’ll work with a multi-discipline design team to utilize your engineering knowledge and creativity to address multifaceted design and construction issues. You will support design, engineering, and project tasks and collaborate with engineers and design practitioners of varying experience levels. You may be called on to support other engineering disciplines, including, but not limited to, water distribution and wastewater collection and transmission engineering design, stormwater management, landfill gas management, air pollution control projects, and site civil planning and design on related projects. Bring your curiosity, diverse skills, and dedication, and we’ll support your growth and passions—together, we can make a significant impact on the world.  * Bachelor’s degree in civil design, environmental, geotechnical engineering, or related engineering degree. * At least 5 years of experience, including waste solution projects. * Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Florida. * Sound knowledge of engineering design principles. * Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods. * Experience with report writing (engineering design reports, stormwater reports, proposals, and/or specs). Ideally, you’ll also have: * Civil design skills (AutoCAD/Bentley, Revit, etc.). * Good communication skills, resilience to deal with critical feedback, along with good presentation skills. * Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.). * Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with multiple design disciplines. * Planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines. * Excellent attention to detail of complex civil design components. #LI-AW1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
