We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** **Civil Inspector (Infra & Utilities)** **Dubai, UAE** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Civil** **Inspector** to join our team! In this role you will get to **performs continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, drawings and specifications.** **What You'll Be Doing:** + Supervision of roads, and other associated activities. + Drainage work, Utilities, traffic control, lighting. + Potable water, Firefighting networks, security system etc. + Installation of electrical equipment related to traffic signals, ramp metering and street lighting. + Irrigation and planting, roadway and overhead sign removal and installation. + Installation on temporary and permanent signs and delineation. + Building and facility construction and associated site development. + Preparing daily, weekly and monthly report as per the Project requirements. ​ **In addition:** + Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries. + Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract + Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work. + Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans. + Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution. + May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors. + Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing. + Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports. + Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures. + Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work. + Responds to the call backs in case of emergency at the project site. Conducts tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications and may include any of the following: Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete coring. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + **Diploma or Bachelor'** **s** **degree** in **Civil Engineering** discipline. + **Minimum 5 years** of experience in **construction supervision** of **infrastructure** **projects including r** **oad works, utilities** within UAE **.** + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction specifications and processes related to civil inspection. + Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
