We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a commitment to design excellence. This candidate should possess the ability to manage project deadlines, establish and maintain client relationships, and inspire a high level of performance from the team. \n

Responsibilities:\n\nPlans, develops and coordinates projects with limited supervision\nUnderstanding, reviewing, and\/or participating in preparing proposals\nCalculate\/review costs and time schedules for proposed work\nCan effectively manage, and assign duties and schedules to assigned team members \nChecks all technical work for accuracy\nExceeds client's expectations and fosters client relationships by collaboration and problem-solving with the client as needed. \nCommunicates with clients weekly to provide project status and updates\nRecommends changes to the client as required and as approved by the Dept\/Project Manager\nKeeps logs or client contacts\nInsures Individual and Department QA\/QC procedures are followed\nFully permit and ensure entitlements of projects, including rezoning, special use permits, conditional use permits, site plan approvals, and required construction drawing approvals and permits.\nSupervision of Civil Designers assigned to project\/teams and ensuring all responsibilities of the designer are carried out and that time is spent efficiently and effectively\nAssist in review and processing of Invoices for assigned projects and sub-consultants\nBusiness Development by maintaining existing client relationships and acquiring new contacts\/clients through attendance to local meetings, workshops and\/or social events \n\n

Required Skills and Qualifications:\n\nBSCE and Professional Licensure\n5+ years of experience on various site design projects, retail, commercial, and public sector projects, with increased experience in residential layouts, planning and engineering\nSpecific design experience required with site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, water & sewer utilities, and erosion control\nFamiliarity with entitlement processes and local permitting regulations\nExperience with technical software including Autodesk Civil 3D 2015 or newer, Hydraflow Storm Sewers\/Hydrographs\/Express Extensions, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Excel is required\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nEffective collaboration skills\nTeam Player with the willingness to adapt and learn new responsibilities and task\n\n
