YOU’LL GET TO:
Design stormwater management systems using hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) modelling software
Perform engineering analyses and calculations
Prepare Land Development Plans
Develop construction specifications and contracts
Perform SCM and Outfall Inspections and Review of Reports
Prepare proposals and manage projects
Perform construction inspections
Assemble NPDES and Wetland and Waterway Permits
Design Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD) remediation systems
Manage team members
Communicate with clients
Perform quality control review of report documents
Participate in marketing and business development

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
● Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
● Maintain quality standards on all projects.
● Career level, fully competent engineering professional with responsibility for managing detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
● Independently perform a variety of projects or selected segments of larger projects.
● Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
● Work closely with senior-level project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects.
● Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations, adaptations and modifications.
● Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects of varying complexity.
● Perform quality control review of proposals and reports written by others.
● Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
● Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members.
● Interact directly with client and project team on developing scope of services, communicating project progress and findings and recommendations.
● Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
● Participate in marketing, sales and business development.
● Supervise graduate, field and project engineering staff.

REQUIREMENTS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering degree.
● Minimum 5-8 years’ experience.
● Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
● Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to become licensed in Pennsylvania.
● Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
● 5+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering design:
● Proficiency in technical writing, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and relevant computer software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Carlson, BIM Modeling).
● Familiarity with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission design procedures.
● Municipal engineering experience.
● MS4 permitting and Green Stormwater Infrastructure design experience.
● GPS field survey experience.
● Land Development Plan preparation experience.
● Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control and NPDES Permit experience.
● Highway Occupancy Permits experience.
● Soil profiling and infiltration testing experience.
● Project Management experience.
