Civil Project Manager
Job Title: Civil Project Manager
Job Description

The Project Manager will work with clients, the Director of Operations, Safety Managers, Project Engineers, Field Superintendents, and the Project Administrator throughout the lifecycle of a project. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing job costs to ensure projects are completed on time and under budget. The role involves setting up new projects, conducting pre-construction meetings, and closely managing multiple projects, schedules, and team members.

ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Director of Operations, Safety Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and vendor partners to manage multiple projects, schedules, and team members.Set up new projects and conduct pre-construction meetings.Control and manage documents, including drawings, submittals, schedules, workflow, contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, and PCOs.Plan project stages and tasks, track project progress, and update schedules accordingly.Perform quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and prepare PCOs.Coordinate material procurement with superintendents and verify material conformance to contract documents.Prepare submittals.Prepare subcontract scope of work, cost, and contracts.Coordinate weekly site meetings as needed.Track PCOs, RFIs, drawing changes, and submittals.Prepare the Schedule of Values for monthly payment applications.Coordinate cost reports.Essential SkillsConstruction managementHeavy job managementCivil constructionBluebeamConcrete workUtility constructionSubcontractor managementSchedule managementGeneral construction knowledgeAdditional Skills & Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer on civil projects (concrete, utilities, municipal/federal, dirt moving/earthwork, Army Corps of Engineers, etc.)Experience with underground/sewer utilities and concreteDegree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferredExperience in utilizing software such as Vista Viewpoint, Dropbox, Heavy Job, Bluebeam, Aconex, Procore, Primavera P6, and Microsoft ProjectWork Environment

The role requires occasional travel within the Midwest, with the need to travel to project sites for a few days every month or two. The work environment involves collaboration with various stakeholders and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.00/hr.
