Braun Intertec is seeking a Project Manager experienced in transportation civil engineering projects to join our Bloomington or White Bear Lake, Minnesota office.
Responsibilities:
Manages routine to moderately complex transportation projects by providing expertise required to meet/exceed client expectationsPerform project management work including cost estimate and proposal preparation, internal project set-up following Braun Intertec policies, external project set-up following MnDOT requirements, contract processing, review of observation and test data for conformance with project documents, and prepare final summary reports.Work with operations to coordinate field staff on projectsPerform various field testing and observations.Stay current with changing federal and state-aid agency standards and specifications.As needed, assist field operations with technician training and reviewWork closely with senior level engineers and project managers to ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded.Hold face to face meetings with new and existing clientsRequired Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgetsComputer aptitude and familiarity with Braun Intertec utilized systems including Metafield, Microsoft Dynamix AX, and Microsoft Office programs.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basisA valid driver's license and a clean driving history requiredWell versed in MnDOT specificationsAbility to read and interpret plans and specificationsBe able to multi-task and specifically handle many projects simultaneouslyDetailed orientedIn-depth knowledge of transportation agency policies and specificationsRequired Experience
Three or more (3+) years of relevant experience requiredHold certifications in, or have the ability to obtain, the following certifications: ACI level I, MnDOT Grading and Base, MnDOT Aggregate Production, MnDOT Concrete Plant I, MnDOT Bituminous Plant I, Nuclear Moisture/Density Gauge Radiation Safety training.High School Diploma with post-secondary diploma in related in field or relevant project experience.Braun Intertec is a Drug-Free Workplace and require all new hires to complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
